The willingness to try, fail and keep on trying until you succeed is what differentiates a sales rep from a successful sales professional, just as willingness to try and fail then try again differentiates a successful entrepreneur from a failed entrepreneur. Sales success demands that you think like an entrepreneur, no matter what job title is next to your name. A successful sales person must possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and act like an entrepreneur and not an employee.
An article written about me a few years ago called me a ‘marketing machine’, what I really am is an entrepreneurial machine. My sales mastery is the result of the successes and failures in my life. The successes in my life are not the result of doing all the right things, but instead they result from being willing to fail in a way that enables me to continuously learn how to succeed.
