Today I want to talk to you sellers. Right now, if you thought about selling your business and you’re thinking about an exit strategy, one of the most important things that you should focus on is your tax returns.
Most business owners that I know don’t even really understand all their tax returns. There’s a couple of things I wanted to talk about right now. On your tax return, on the front page, you’re going to see line 7: officer compensation, and at the bottom is the profits of what you’re paying taxes on.
